Tara has been practicing law with Joe Lapham since she received her law license in 2009. She decided to turn her passion for arguing, regardless of whether or not she was correct, into a career. Tara’s educational journey began at the University of Notre Dame, where she was a member of the varsity softball team and earned a degree in Finance in 2000. While working for an investment management firm in Boulder, she obtained a Masters’ Degree in Finance and Accounting from Regis University. After six years of number-crunching,

Tara realized that finance was painfully boring and decided to start a new chapter at the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Tara’s practice is 100% dedicated to personal injury and medical malpractice. She spends her time fighting for her clients and helping to balance the scales against large insurance companies. She was invited to and completed the prestigious Barton’s Advocacy Boot Camp and completed an intensive deposition program at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

Tara is licensed to practice law in Colorado and is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Notre Dame Monogram Club, the Colorado Corgi Squad, the Britney Spears Fan Club, and is contemplating membership with the Bacon of the Month Club.

Tara cohabitates with the firm’s office manager, Loki, with whom she is constantly battling for Alpha status. When she is not busy fighting for her clients, she is hanging out with her crazy family, not cleaning her house, and binge-watching Netflix. If she could be anyone else in the world, she would be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (TV Buffy, not movie Buffy)
